Immobilizing the Brain

Wow, this image is from the Wikipedia entry on "Neurosurgery." Doesn't that look like a medieval torture device? *laugh* Thank God for them, though! And if you scroll down the entry to the section titled "See Also" which names all the pioneers in this highly specialized, advanced high-tech procedure, please say a prayer for each one of them, all of whom had a role in saving my life.

Brain Surgery!

Katherine has asked me to write this latest blogpost on the outcome of her brain surgery. My name is Katina Michael.                                                              

Katherine's brain surgery was conducted to remove two brain tumours:

(1) right side (1.5" x 1"); and

(2) left side (0.5" x 0.5").

The neurosurgeon got to the tumours that were located on the parietal lobe via the occipital lobe. The right side tumor was especially causing pressure on the brain. If the tumors had not been removed urgently, there is a chance that Katherine would have gone into a coma. The tumors were the ...
