Congratulations for Banning RFID in Schools
Implementing RFID in schools would condition a generation to accept surveillance and tracking by authorities from an early age. Good for Missouri for preventing this.
Legislators in that state believe that letting school administrators monitor students' movements, associations, and other personal details with RFID tracking devices might be taking their state's "Show Me" motto just a little too far.
Earlier this year, Missouri lawmakers passed Senate Bill 256, banning the use of RFID identification and tracking of students. Good move! Then Governor Jay Nixon vetoed the bill in July ...
